Each type of projection environment provides its own set of challenges. Issues such as projector heat, fan noise, security, and mounting in challenging locations require specifically designed solutions.

Draper’s two newest projector enclosures are designed to solve some of those problems.

The Silent Partner
Today’s digital projectors provide great resolution. But they also put out a lot of heat, and the resulting cooling fan noise can be distracting, especially when the projector is close to the audience.

The Silent Partner comes in three sizes designed to hold projectors from 5,000—15,000 ANSI lumens. A convoluted flow for exhaust air and acoustic insulation foam combine to reduce projector sound, and the thermostatic fan control ensures proper projector cooling.

We’ve shown the Silent Partner at a couple of trade shows, most recently CEDIA in September. Dealers, installers, and end users love the idea. People are especially impressed by the option to mount it to a Draper Scissor Lift to conceal it above the ceiling when not in use.

The Silent Partner also has lockable access doors allow for easy projector service, and a projector clamp to firmly hold the projector for tabletop or ceiling orientation.

Technology Integrator magazine named the Silent Partner an Excite Award winner at CEDIA.

Fly Cages
Mounting projectors in staging applications presents other problems. Projector mounting structures in these situations require adjustability, functionality, toughness, and stackability, and they need to be able to attach to truss.

Draper’s new fly cages easily attach to cheeseborough clamps for quick and secure mounting to truss. The adjustment mechanism allows precise projector alignment, and multiple cages can be stacked for increased projector brightness or redundancy.

Fly cages are manufactured from 2” tubing and come in several sizes designed to provide sturdy, long-lasting protection.

The Silent Partner is available now, and Fly Cages will ship in early December. To learn more about the entire line of AV lifting and mounting solutions, click here to visit our website and click on the “AV Lifts” heading.
