How do you know which shading solutions to use? What are the latest and most dynamic advancements in shade technology? These questions will be answered during a full day training program for window shade dealers next month in Houston, Texas.

Draper and Mermet are partnering to present several educational sessions May 9 at The Sam Houston hotel, located near Houston’s Minute Maid Stadium.

The following courses will be offered:

A Holistic Approach to Shade Fabric Selection
Colin Blackford of Mermet will focus on the material strengths of fiberglass core yarns and how they can directly affect shade performance and the entire building ecosystem, from the perspectives of the building envelope and the people who occupy it. Aesthetic, economic, and health considerations will merge.

In the Lab
This course will cover fabric testing procedural standards and how they relate to current building codes and trends. Mermet’s Colin Blackford will share news and innovations in green shading materials, tests, certifications, tools, and resources.

Draper architectural regional sales manager for Texas and Oklahoma, Patrick Herron, LEED GA, will present project case studies. Learn how Draper and Mermet can support you in converting competitor’s specifications, or in designing and manufacturing project-specific custom products.

Motorization
